Proposals and System Description documents, all in MS Word (docx) format. System Descriptions can easily be be converted into proposals by copying the appropriate sections from the generic template.

Note

These templates aim to ensure consistency in the presentation of the documents we provide our customers and prospects. The primary elements (Styles) of these documents are Headings (1, 2 and 3) which are auto-numbered, regular paragraphs and bullet points.

The template allows the following shortcuts to make editing easier:
Ctrl-key Style Comments for the Septier version of the stylesheet
Ctrl-1 Heading 1 This places a page break before the heading and formats the text in Verdana 20pt with a thick blue line above and below the heading.
Ctrl-2 Heading 2 Verdana 12pt.
Ctrl-3 Heading 3 Verdana 11pt. This is the lowest level of numbered paragraphs. It’s indented 1.5 cm and the heading starts at 3 cm, aligned with a Normal 11 paragraph.
Ctrl-A Normal 11 Calibri 11pt. The entire paragraph is indented 3 cm from the left margin and is left aligned. These attributes improve readability.
Ctrl-T ✓ Bullet Calibri 11pt. The bullet is a tick mark and is indented 3.6 cm and the text a further 0.6 cm beyond that.
Ctrl-W ● Bullet Calibri 11pt. The bullet point is indented a 3.6 cm and the text a further 0.6 cm beyond that.
Tip

Often the text you are formatting has been manually altered several times. It’s a good idea to first select the entire paragraph you are changing and press settings (Clear All Formatting — Home tab on the ribbon menu, Font section). Then use one of the above controls.
